Fluoride occurs naturally in the teeth, makes them strong, and helps counter the occurrence of tooth decay. Fluoride is safe when used as recommended by your pediatric dentist, and is present in fish, water (in some cities), eggs, tea, and meat. Pediatric dentists make use of fluoride in many dental procedures and recommend fluoride toothpaste for daily use. Combining flossing and brushing your teeth with fluoride toothpaste at least twice daily will help counter the development of tooth decay. Make sure you brush your teeth just before going to bed at night, this way, you have fluoride on your teeth the whole night.
Your teeth must be clean before fluoride treatment can be administered. Your pediatric dentist will polish away all teeth blemishes before starting the treatment.
